POSITION TITLE: Pharmacy Services Contract Manager

This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Region II Pharmacy located in Raiford, Florida.
The purpose of this job is to supervise and manage the pharmacy services contract, ensuring compliance, coordinating procurement and service delivery, while supporting leadership in overseeing statewide pharmacy operations and related projects.
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.
JOB DUTIES:
This position reports to the Bureau Chief of Pharmacy Services and serves as the supervisor for the Contract Management Section within the Bureau of Pharmacy Services and as the Contract Manager for the Department’s contract for pharmacy services. In addition, the incumbent assumes the responsibilities of the Contract Monitors in their absence in addition to resolving issues delegated by the Bureau Chief Pharmacy Services. This position may require occasional travel.
- Supervise the Contract Management Section and serve as Contract Manager for the Department’s pharmacy services contract, coordinating procurement, contract management, and compliance activities while maintaining communication with the pharmacy contractor.
- Oversee statewide pharmacy service fulfillment, assist in policy development and dissemination, and provide technical assistance to staff and contractors to ensure compliance with Health Services Bulletins.
- Prepare and submit reports for department leadership, legislative staff, and external authorities such as the Correctional Medical Authority.
- Collaborate with Bureau leadership and other department directors to resolve pharmacy service issues and support special projects, including budget and legislative initiatives.
- Manage pharmacy-related records, coordinate medication and supply deliveries, and foster a positive work environment with management, peers, and stakeholders; occasional travel may be required.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must be certified as a Florida Certified Contract Manager or have the ability to become a Florida Certified Contract Manager within six months of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preference will be given to those with experience managing contracts related to pharmacy or 5 years of experience working in the field of pharmacy.
Support of knowledge, skills, and abilities should be demonstrated on the application, in the education, in the work experience, in the work sample, in the interview and/or during reference checks.
