Requirements:

Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory criminal history check (fingerprint-based) in accordance with Chapter 435, Florida Statutes.

Possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License.

This position requires up to 25% travel.

Office hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday, with required on-call time. 

 

Experience:

  • Three years of professional experience in Azure systems administration, including configuring, managing, and securing Azure cloud services. 
  • Experience with increasing responsibilities in areas such as system design, implementation, and security. 
  • Certifications in Azure-related fields are preferred, such as AZ-104 or higher, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, or CCNA. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consult with program areas and users to define system requirements and conduct assessments. 
  • Configure and maintain cloud-based and on-prem systems with a focus on security, availability, and performance. 
  • Manage enterprise-level antivirus and security policies, ensuring up-to-date patches and configurations. 
  • Proactively mitigate risks and respond to potential threats within the Azure environment. 
  • Design and configure Azure services, networking, and software to meet business needs. 
  • Conduct system audits to ensure hardware, software, and cloud resources meet security and business objectives. 
  • Establish and maintain IT methods, procedures, and configurations to align with organizational goals. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to maintain Azure services and communication systems. 
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot cloud and hardware systems based on design specifications. 
  • Maintain accurate inventory of cloud and hardware assets; assist with surplus equipment processes. 
  • Monitor and test systems to evaluate performance and address issues. 
  • Lead the planning, testing, and implementation of Azure projects under management supervision. 
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including operational procedures, policies, and support materials. 
  • Prepare administrative and purchasing reports as required. 
  • Stay updated on cloud technologies, hardware, and software through ongoing learning. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Azure cloud services, architecture, and security best practices. 
  • Knowledge of distributed processing operations, procedures, and cloud infrastructure. 
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-53 and NIST RMF security standards. 
  • Proficiency with system administration tools, disciplines, and best practices (Azure-focused). 
  • Strong problem-solving skills, especially with cloud and hybrid systems. 
  • Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate complex cloud infrastructure projects. 
  • Ability to analyze information, identify, and resolve cloud infrastructure issues. 
  • Experience developing training programs for cloud and distributed processing operations. 
  • Ability to monitor and resolve technical issues in Azure and distributed systems. 
  • Strong communication skills for both technical documentation and user support. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with team members, vendors, and stakeholders. 
  • Experience reviewing and implementing technical design documents. 
  • Experience with project planning and execution in a cloud environment. 
  • Ability to work with vendors to troubleshoot and optimize cloud infrastructure. 
  • Proficiency in documenting policies, procedures, and standards for cloud operations.
