Attorney Qualifications:
- Possess a law degree from an accredited law school
- Member of The Florida Bar in good standing
- Knowledge of criminal laws and procedures
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload
- Commitment to public service and protecting the rights of victims
Summary of Duties:
- Applicants must have knowledge and ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both oral and in writing.
- Prosecutorial criminal casework.
- Conduct legal research and writing.
- Conduct depositions and interview witnesses, victims, and law enforcement to prepare cases for prosecution.
- Trial work includes case preparation, jury selection, examining and cross-examining witnesses, opening statements, and closing arguments for trial.
- Proficient management of casework.
- The ability to use office computer software and equipment.
Desired Skills:
- The successful candidate will have the ability to efficiently multitask in a fast-paced environment and present a professional and helpful demeanor.
- Applicants should have Microsoft Office experience including Word and Excel.
