This advertisement is for a Career Service Located at Apalachee Correctional Institution.
Salary: Rate $33,760.00 - $35,964.15 annually
SALARY WILL BE DETERMINED IN ACCORDANCE WITH CURRENT PAY POLICY.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This is a support position assigned to Institutional Support and reports directly to the Operations and Consultants Manager. The incumbent will be providing administrative and logistical support to the Edible Crops Program, Surplus Property, Recycling and institutions. Checks and balances needed to ensure that the assets of the Department are protected, and all legislative requirements are met.
- Oversees and maintains the daily operation of statewide logistics and transportation of edible crops. This includes, but is not limited to, the receipt of commodities from institutions and completion of proper paperwork for receiving and issuing commodities.
- The delivery of commodities distributed from statewide farms and institutions to various locations throughout the State through the use of departmental vehicles and/or common carrier. This position requires the incumbent to possess a valid Florida CDL Class A license. Delivery and/or pick up of items such as equipment and/or emergency supplies, within the State may be necessary, which may require overnight travel.
- Responsible for supervision of inmate workforce as it relates to the logistics and transportation of commodities.
- Responds to inmate requests and grievances as applicable. Oversees monthly free letter request process and generates and distributes monthly inmate bank statements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a High school diploma or its equivalent
