Your Specific Responsibilities:

OPS Senior Clerk position located in the Environmental Health section in the Spring Hill office of the Florida Department of Health in Hernando County

 

This position performs specialized clerical duties in the Onsite Sewage Program. and serves as back up to the Senior Clerk. Work hours will be 7:30 am to 4:00 pm m

 

This position serves as the backup resource person, receptionist, and switchboard operator, answers questions regarding Environmental Health policies and procedures, records nuisance complaints and distributes to supervisor, cover breaks and absences for all front desk duties except mail. Responsible for data review and data entry into the Environmental Health Database (EHD) computer system, preparation of onsite sewage treatment and disposal system (OSTDS) permits

 

Responsible for uploading and scanning onsite sewage files into EHD and the public database.

 

Responsible for researching original onsite sewage permit records and/or history for statistics.

 

Performs other related duties/projects as requested/required.

 

May be required to work in the Brooksville Office

 

Responsible for securing the designated information set for the purposes of protecting confidentiality, data integrity, and appropriate access for all information, both confidential and public record, which is stored in hard copy or electric formats.

 

Attend training if necessary for duties.

Qualifications:

  1. Must have experience with data entry
  2. Experience utilizing Microsoft office software, scanners, and other office equipment
