Your Specific Responsibilities:

  • Oversees and performs onsite Live Scan Level 2 fingerprinting and Level 1 sex offender checks. Completes the Drug Testing and Consent Notice and the Drug Screening Request Form for all safety sensitive positions and forward to lead CHD.
  • Refers and provides guidance to supervisors in the steps necessary to effectively recruit qualified applicants.
  • Badges- back up prepares employee identification badges- reissue.
  • Inform employees of internal process regarding leave without pay and forward to lead CHD payroll representative.
  • Assists with open enrollment initiatives and actions. Serves as insurance and credit unition liaison scheduling and announcing visits.
  • On-Boarding- Assists with or conducts on-boarding/New Employee Orientation. Explains benefits and insurance programs.
  • Assist and monitors new employee training. coordinates and ensures all new hires attend the DOH new hire training and customer service training, and all new supervisors attend the Basic Supervisory Training Program presented by lead CHD. Employee On-Boarding- Assists with or conducts on-boarding/New Employee Orientation. Explains benefits and insurance programs.
  • Serves as back up to Chief Deputy Registrar.  Duties include but are not limited to answering questions, preparing copies of birth and death certificates, reviews, inspects for errors, legibility, required signatures and signs Death, Fetal Death forms that are not completed in EDRS.  Authorizes, certifies, and documents certificates for issuance.   Responsible for making local file copies of original certificates, mailing original certificates to Office of Vital Statistics in Jacksonville.  Files burial transit permits according to date of death. Confirms eligibility and issues birth certificates and death certificates using the e vitals system.
