CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- New employees of the Department of Military Affairs will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- New employees of the Department of Military Affairs are required to participate in a direct deposit/electronic transfer program.
- The Department of Military Affairs is paid on a monthly basis.
- This position is a Cooperative Agreement position.
- As a CANDIDATE, you are required to provide documentation (i.e., High School Diploma or Equivalency, College Transcripts, ETC.) to verify meeting these Minimum Qualifications.
- Must be able to obtain a completion of a favorable National Agency Check background investigation clearance.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent; AND
- Four (4) years of professional experience with Endpoint security operations, information security and network security or related field.
- Education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Attain a minimal Tier 1 Federal Security Clearance Background Check.
- Must have a CompTIA Security+ Certification or attain the required certification within 6 months of employment
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides quality customer service to internal and external customers
- Analyze and resolve hardware, software, and communications problems using diagnostic software and or technical troubleshooting processes. Using these skills, effectively triage, resolve, and or escalate automation issues at the G6/DMA Helpdesk. (St. Augustine, FL.)
- Establishes methods and procedures for use of distributed computer systems including hardware, software, communications and end user training.
- Manage DMA email and Distribution listings across the state. Create mail and user accounts for DMA employees and/or other personnel supporting the DMA mission.
- Serve as Tier level II support when needed.
- Administrator Host Base Security System (HBSS) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) scans and remediations.
- Track Cyber Tasking orders and Network Bulletins for Cybersecurity.
- Manage and work Army Enterprise Service Desk queue (AESD).
- Maintain 5140/8570 work experience and certification compliance for system/network administrators.
- Track and report Annual Army Access Validation (AVS), IA Cyber Awareness, and Army User Agreement.
- Leverage systems to identify and manage credentials for authorized devices and users, manage remote access, and access permissions.
- Provide information security input to the Senior Managers Internal Control program.
- Troubleshoot and resolve security issues.
- Ensures audit logs are implemented, reviewed, and documented.
- Update and manage Inspection Program for Command Readiness Inspection (CRI). Including managing inspectors, travel, and assistance uploading to Evaluation National Guard Inspection System (ENGIS). Track issues and due outs, track trends, and update calls for inspection based on G6 CIO mission and goals
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge and methods of data collection and analysis.
- Knowledge in Information Security and risk management, server technologies, and Windows 11 vulnerability scanning and patching.
- Knowledge of basic terminology and procedures in the areas of data processing and computer programming.
- Experience administering Windows Active Directory and account creation.
- Experience administering Microsoft Azure environment.
- Experience with PowerShell.
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work.
- Ability to communicate technical data processing information effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to install, troubleshoot and maintain office automation equipment.
- Ability to process information logically and solve problems.
- Ability to understand and translate complex technical issues into business implications for business representatives and system owners.
