Salary: $50.00/hour
Requirements: Valid licensure as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practical Registered Nurse in the State of Florida required.
Duties and Responsibilities: This position provides services under the direction of a supervising physician. Takes patient history, performs comprehensive physical examinations, and makes assessments consistent with physical findings. Develops, reviews and/or revises treatment and therapy plans as needed. Prescribes medications and provides therapeutic interventions. Administers medication according to the formulary protocol or upon patients’ specific orders from a physician. Educates patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment plans. Maintains accurate, timely, and compliant electronic health records. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members. Assists in reviewing student medical records and establishing health acuity levels for students seeking admission to the school. Provide clinical guidance and direction to nursing staff regarding medical assessments and care plans.

- Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of medicine for the school aged child.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
- Skill in completing assignments accurately with attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in the environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
- Ability to learn to communicate effectively in sign language.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to complete training and administer skills acquired in CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training (CPI);
Condition of Employment:
