CASH MANAGEMENT DUTIES:
- Conducts daily cashier audits.
- Reviews Cashier’s balancing paperwork to ensure the required documentation is received prior to completing audits.
- Creates FLAIR excel spreadsheets, assigns the appropriate Org codes for FLAIR entry.
- Reviews FLAIR Revenue excel spreadsheet for accuracy prior to entering the deposit/revenue codes into FLAIR.
- Enters daily deposits revenue codes into FLAIR as needed, daily.
- Research deposits for discrepancy and errors, when needed.
- Obtains Treasury Reports from the approved system, save reports on J drive, daily
- Obtains daily Remittance Advices (RAs) displaying payment information.
- Conducts Quarterly Cashier audits at each Change Fund Location as needed.
- Process Client Refunds as needed.
- Distributes bank supplies and handwritten receipt books issued to Change Fund Locations as needed.
- Maintains an accurate log of bank supplies and handwritten books issued.
- Assists in the yearly inventory of nurse issuance medications as well as quarterly and yearly cash audits for all FDOH in Pinellas locations and local high schools.
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE DUTIES:
- Initiates the billing process within DOH approved system.
- Utilizes the correct insurance reimbursement codes, fees and services.
- Follows appropriate local and state fee policies when completing the billing process each time.
- Generates Logi Billing Report to identify services to bill.
- Completes assignments prior to established deadlines.
- Utilizes the appropriate Clearinghouse and/or insurance portal to verify client’s insurance Medicaid eligibility status prior to billing.
- Updates the Insurance screen and notepad in HMS with accurate information each time when needed
- Enters, reviews, and certifies EAR’s coding in HMS, daily.
- Answers phone calls within a timely manner.
- Posts payments for EFT/ACH payments.
- Assists department with collections by calling clients to obtain payment.
- Maintains an up-to-date record of work accomplished with backlogs indicated and provide management reports as requested.
- Performs other related duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Utilization of equipment, required for the position
- Ability to use Facsimile, copier and personal computer.
- Understanding of Microsoft Office-Windows, Excel, Word
- Understanding of basic grammar, written sentence’s structure and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Ability to gather information, knowledge of how to research various State web sites to search policies and procedures, identifying essential information needed to perform assigned duties and complete daily assignments.
- Basic mathematics knowledge.
- Proficient typing skills and data entry
- Strong organizational skills.
- Time Management skills is a must.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Displays excellent phone etiquette, a friendly and polite tone.
- Demonstrates excellent customer services skills.

Qualifications:
Minimum:
- High school Diploma
- 3 or more years of experience in in Microsoft Office
- 1 or more year of experience in Account Receivables
- 1 or more year of experience in FLAIR
- Experience in retrieving and reviewing deposit information on PALMS
- Experience in generating credit card reports in the NIC Credit Card system.
Preferred:
- More than 2 years of knowledge of and/or experience working in the Department of Health Billing Portal.
- More than 2 years of knowledge of verifying client insurance in the Florida Medicaid System or use of other insurance verification/eligibility web portals.
- More than 2 years of knowledge of reviewing and analyzing outstanding accounts receivables.
