Minimum Qualifications:
4 years professional direct related experience in administrative work, systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation or engineering; additional years of experience as described above are also required. A bachelor’s degree from a college or university and three years of professional experience in administrative work, systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation or engineering can substitute for the required experience.

 
Preferred Qualifications: 

Current administrative or clerical experience with state government.

Working knowledge of People First, EDA, FLAIR, MFMP, and PCard Works.

Knowledge and experience with budget management and tracking.

Employment in this position is contingent upon a satisfactory Level 1 background check at no cost to the candidate. 
 

Office hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday. Not eligible for Telework.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:

Assist sub-section leader with administrative management and operation of the Fisheries Dependent Monitoring subsection. Investigate, analyze, and resolve problems relating to administrative and fiscal matters, or make recommendations for resolution. Act as sub -section budget coordinator to ensure effective and efficient accountability of fiscal operations. With subsection leader, consult, plan and manage multiple budgets. Assist with preparation, revision and tracking of subsection budgets. Track assigned grant budgets. Monitor cost projections, expenditures, encumbrances and balances. Identity, accounting errors and prepare expenditure moves. Reconcile accounts prior to approving reimbursement requests. Provide funding status reports. Maintain amounting databases and section accounts. Analyze and compile financial information for annual reports. Supervise assigned staff. Duties include but are not limited to recruitment, training, assigning work, fine sheet approval, review performance, discipline.
