Minimum Qualifications:
4 years professional direct related experience in administrative work, systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation or engineering; additional years of experience as described above are also required. A bachelor’s degree from a college or university and three years of professional experience in administrative work, systems analysis, management analysis, program planning, program research, program evaluation or engineering can substitute for the required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates with:
Current administrative or clerical experience with state government.
Working knowledge of Fleetwave, People First, FLAIR, MFMP, and PCard Works.
Duties require strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow up and meet deadlines.
General knowledge and/or experience of fleet management, preventative maintenance/auto mechanics, and property record handling are highly preferred.

Office hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday. Not eligible for Telework.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:
Assist sub-section leader with administrative management and operation of the Fisheries Dependent Monitoring sub-section. Provides high-level administrative support by performing general administrative and clerical functions, assisting staff, and handling information requests for FDM.
Investigate, analysis, and resolve problems relating to administrative, fleet, property, and fiscal matters, or make recommendations for resolution of said problem. Act as sub-section property and vehicle fleet coordinator to ensure effective and efficient accountability of operations. Maintain vehicle property records, inventory movement, track fleet spending and maintenance, schedule preventive maintenance, and communicate with staff and supervisors statewide. Maintains the usage log for each vehicle, ensuring timely submission to Fleet Management databases. Consult on maintenance needs, vendor usage, quoting, reference user manuals, and work with teams to assist in the ordering and disposal of property. Occasional assistance driving state vehicles to complete tasks like repairs or relocating fleet inventory. Assist in accident reporting with FWRI property team, review WEX billing invoices, deliver regular communication with budgeting team to account for upcoming or immediate repairs, compile spending reports for yearly property eligibility of replacement/usage, and other requests
Analyze and compile information for annual reports. Understand the rules and implement the processes for requisitions, purchase orders, payments in MFMP, and complete Florida Certified Contract Manager Training (upon request). Research, order, and receive goods and services with state Purchasing. Maintain section accounts (Verizon, SunPass, etc.). Supervise assigned staff. Duties include but are not limited to recruitment, training, assigning work, timesheet approval, review performance, discipline. Assist with preparation of subsection wide activities such as MarineQuest, East Coast Red Snapper Sampling, annual training meeting, etc. (including but not limited to purchasing, travel, event coordination, and general support).
Assist with other administrative needs such as timekeeper, PAR liaison, and providing back-up support.
Assist with other Institute programs and activities providing cross-section support. Perform other related duties and participate in outreach activities.
