Human Services Analyst
This is an in-office position within the Division of Disease Control and Health Protection, Immunization Outreach Program. The incumbent is responsible for FL SHOTS data entry and training including but not limited to the following:
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting hands-on and overview trainings and updating FL SHOTS training manual
- Assisting in local data clean-up efforts of client records
- Generating and maintaining monthly Reminder Recall systems using FL SHOTS for the follow-up of all children less than 24 months receiving immunization services at the health department in order to bring the children up to date on their shots.
- Assists the Immunization Outreach team when needed with specific duties to include, but not limited to: Consults staff in the assessment of immunization records and assists in offering ACIP-recommended immunizations; at events, performs all FL SHOTS/HMS related duties including client registration, demographic importing, recording VFC eligibility, and importing services, both during outreaches and when returning to the office, which may include evening or weekend hours.
- Assists with the completion of the Kindergarten and Seventh Grade Immunization Status Report for Pinellas County Schools. This can include sending letters, making phone calls, and requesting follow-up on all students with temporary medical exemptions and those with non-compliance.
- Provides education to parents on the importance of immunizations, including booster shots and immunization schedules.
- Coordinates, organizes, and assists with children’s’ immunization outreach events for Pinellas County Schools when necessary.
- Provides after hours on call coverage on a rotation basis, including, but not limited to, answering calls from selected alarm company.
KSAs:
- Knowledge of information, methods of compiling and organizing data for purpose of monitoring, analysis, and evaluation
- Knowledge of the basic principles of immunizations and the immunization schedule
- Ability to perform specific tasks as stated in the Duties and Responsibilities above
- Ability to operate a personal computer and accompanying software, including FL SHOTS, Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of clerical functions & procedures
- Skills in coordination with multiple Divisions/Programs/Groups; as well as other agencies and entities (PCSB)
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments
Qualifications:
Minimum-
- Data entry experience
- Valid driver's license
Preferred-
- Bachelor’s degree in science or related field
