DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide business analysis, project management, and oversight for information technology projects as assigned.

Perform thorough determination of user needs at system or process level. Design and document solutions to these needs utilizing the most appropriate tools available.

Prepare specifications in order to communicate process and application component requirements.

Develop or update project plans including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, specifications, and schedules. Assist in the planning, implementation, operation and maintenance of systems that support the Division. Responsibilities include: estimate time requirements and schedule tasks needed to meet the objectives of the project; report status; resolve problems and emergency situations.

Monitor project milestones and deliverables and maintain project reporting.

Assist in research of new software and system technologies.

Act as liaison with customers and other support staff to assure accurate problem interpretation.

Monitor implementation and documentation of computer application systems and components in accordance with current Division standards and procedures.

Facilitate communications with and between management, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Participate in the development and review of policies, procedures and standards within the Bureau of Information Technology and Management.

Schedule and facilitate meetings with necessary resources and personnel.

Provide project meeting agendas, summaries, and take-away/to-do lists.

Ensure organization of, storage or, and access to project related documentation.

Demonstrated ability to develop project plans, monitors progress, and negotiate revisions.

Demonstrated knowledge of current technologies and application development methodologies and life cycles.

Ability to act independently to resolve problems and document processes for use by others.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on projects to completion.

Ability to work effectively with users to identify and document requirements for the maintenance or development of computer systems.

Ability to analyze processes and workflows to design efficient information solutions.

Ability to prepare complex computer program specifications.

Ability to interpret and communicate technical information related to computer programming and data processing, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to develop and manage information systems documentation in accordance with the Division’s standards, including knowledge of using SharePoint project management templates.
