We are seeking to hire a Government Operations Consultant I who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program.  This position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team based work environment.


This position is located in the Medicaid Director’s Office.  The Medicaid Director’s office has oversight authority for the Medicaid program and provides support and guidance to the seven Medicaid bureaus/offices.


This position is responsible for assisting and providing administrative support to both process improvement and project management staff within the Projects and Process Improvement Unit. This unit provides project management and process improvement services to the Division of Medicaid. Duties include scheduling meetings; preparing, drafting, tracking and compiling team documentation such as meeting summaries, action items, agendas, process maps, etc.; maintaining and updating project team documents, materials, and files; and uploading documents to SharePoint as needed. This position is also responsible for the ongoing management of Medicaid's annual project portfolio. The project portfolio is a tool used to track legislatively mandated projects that provides a comprehensive overview and up to date information on all tracked projects.

Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including by not limited to, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word; ability to summarize and document meeting discussions and decision; ability to document, organize and track tasks and assignments. Strong writing, listening and interpersonal skills; be able to work successfully in a deadline-driven environment; and be able to maintain a professional and respectful relationship with all staff at all leadership levels.



  • One year of professional experience attending meetings and writing formal summaries on complex topics. 
  • One year of professional administrative experience.
