Position Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health care in Florida.
We are seeking to hire an Administrative Secretary who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program.
This position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team-based work environment.
This position is located in the Bureau of Medicaid Program Finance (MPF).
MPF manages and projects Florida’s $33.8 billion Medicaid Services budget, oversees financial reporting of the Agency’s contracted Medicaid health plans, calculates both institutional and non-institutional Medicaid reimbursement rates, and disburses supplemental payments to Medicaid providers.
This position is responsible for significant secretarial work assisting the Bureau of Medicaid Program Finance.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Provides administrative assistance to the Bureau of Medicaid Program Finance by drafting memos and correspondence, scheduling appointments, maintaining digital files, answering phones, and performing various other administrative tasks.
Serves as CorrFlow delegate for the Bureau of Medicaid Program Finance.
Serves as backup to the other administrative assistant within the Bureau Chief’s office when needed.
Other duties as assigned.
This position will report to the headquarters in Tallahassee.
This position is not a remote or telework position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
One year of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Two years of administrative or clerical experience.
Preference will be given to candidates with an associate’s degree or a more advanced degree from an accredited college or University.
