POSITION OVERVIEW

The Bureau of Health Facility Regulation seeks a self-motivated individual to serve as a Human Services Program Specialist within the Hospital and Outpatient Services Unit. 

The successful candidate will function as a member of a cooperative team that is responsible for the registration, licensure, and/or certification of various categories of health care facilities and will be responsible for providing information and technical assistance for all application matters pertaining to licensure and/or certification of assigned programs.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Assemble and review applications and supporting documents for compliance with licensure requirements within statutory timeframes.

Provide information and technical assistance to licensed providers and applicants.

Respond to communications, including emails and phone calls relating to provider licensure for the assigned areas of responsibility.

Compile and maintain a complete and accurate inventory of applicant and provider records for the assigned areas of responsibility.

Prepare and perform quality control reviews of data entered into the state database and record storage system, correcting data as needed.

Work cooperatively with coworkers within the unit, bureau, division, and agency to ensure timely and accurate information is available within the Agency and with other state and federal agencies, as appropriate.

Assist answering the work unit's multi-line phone system and direct callers to the appropriate staff or offices.

Performs other related duties as may be assigned.

 

A good attendance record is essential for any individual in this position as the work involved occurs daily and is time-critical.

The individual in this position is expected to report to work daily and on time.

Leave must be requested in advance except in emergency circumstances not under the control of the employee.

This position will be filled at the base biweekly salary of $1,471.70 and is non-negotiable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

One or more years of professional experience relating to health care delivery or health care administration, other health, rehabilitation, or social services program, or one or more years of experience relating to health care regulation or other compliance monitoring of local, state, or federal requirements.

 

Preference will be given to candidates with:

-Good proofreading and writing skills.

-One or more years of experience working in a health care related field, health care planning, or other health, rehabilitation, or social service program; and/or

-One or more years of experience reviewing applications for compliance with statutes and administrative rules.
