Position Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health care in Florida.

We are seeking to hire a Government Operations Consultant I who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program. 

This position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team based work environment.

 

This position is located in the Deputy Chief of Staff's Office. 

The Deputy Chief of Staff’s office has oversight authority for the Medicaid Program and provides support and guidance to the eight Medicaid bureaus/offices.

The Deputy Chief of Staff’s Office is also responsible for the implementation of legislative mandates and other high priority projects for the Program. 

This position is housed within the Projects and Process Improvement Unit (PPIU). 

PPIU is responsible for supporting a wide range of initiatives for the Medicaid Program including operations, policy development, program implementations, data analytics, and more!

 

This position is responsible for assisting process management staff in PPIU in planning, managing, conducting and implementing process improvement efforts within the Medicaid Program, including but not limited to:

•Creating process maps using Microsoft Visio.

•Assisting in the creation and formatting of desk guides.

•Preparing, drafting, tracking and compiling process improvement team documentation such as meeting summaries, action items, agendas, process maps, etc.

•Maintaining and updating process improvement team documents, materials, and files as directed by the process management team, unit supervisor and unit manager.

•Uploading documents to SharePoint as needed and directed.

 

Assists and provides administrative support to project management staff within PPIU in planning, managing, conducting and implementing projects within the Medicaid Program, including but not limited to:

•Preparing, drafting, tracking and compiling project team documentation such as meeting summaries, action items, agendas, etc.

•Maintaining and updating project team documents, materials, and files as directed by the project management team, unit supervisor and unit manager.

•Uploading documents to SharePoint as needed and directed.

 

Assists with agency outreach efforts, including but not limited to, webinars and mail outs.

 

Additional duties as assigned.

 

This is an anticipated vacancy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

•One year of professional experience scheduling meetings using Microsoft Outlook.

•One year of professional experience attending meetings and taking detailed notes on meeting discussions.

•One year of professional experience writing formal summaries on complex topics.

•One year of professional administrative experience.
