Position Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health care in Florida.

We are seeking to hire Government Operations & Consultant III, who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program. 

This position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team based work environment.

This position will be filled at $2,125.08 Biweekly and is non-negotiable.

 

This position is located in the Bureau of Medicaid Oversight & Coordination (MOC). 

MOC is responsible for legislative and communications/outreach efforts, project and process management, process improvement initiatives, coordinating human resource activities for the Medicaid Program, Agency purchasing and contract administration, Medicaid Program operational process tracking, and other cross-divisional tasks.

MOC is also responsible for training activities for Medicaid Program staff, and the maintenance of Medicaid's internal and external websites.

 

This position is responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the success of Medicaid Program projects and process improvement teams in a deadline-driven environment. These duties will include, but will not be limited to:

- Scheduling meetings with internal and external team members.

- Preparing, drafting, tracking, compiling, and disseminating project and process team documentation.

- Uploading and maintaining project and process team files on SharePoint.

 

This position will also serve as the backup for the Medicaid Program Operational Process Portfolio Administrator, whose duties include, but are not be limited to:

- Disseminating and following up with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on process portfolio update requests on a monthly basis.

- Assisting the SMEs with any troubleshooting related to updating templates on SharePoint.

- Ensuring the Project Portfolio Master Tracking Log remains up to date at all times.

- Assisting the Process Management Senior Management Analyst II in reviewing monthly updates provided by SMEs.

- Assisting with the development and preparation of process portfolio assignments and reporting templates as needed..

 

The incumbent will also be responsible for managing and facilitating simple process management and improvement teams, whose duties will include, but will not be limited to:

- Creating process maps and timelines in Microsoft Visio.

- Creating desk guides or other reference materials using Microsoft Word, Excel, and/or Visio.

- Facilitating process team meetings and working with teams to implement quality control measures.

- Optimizing process steps by identifying and eliminating non-value-added process steps and making recommendations for process improvement.

- Communicate tasks, risks/issues, goals, and deliverables clearly to teams while maintaining a consistent dialogue with internal and external stakeholders.

- Providing regular updates on process team efforts to the direct supervisor and management.

 

This position will perform other duties as assigned.

•Knowledge of project management related to legislative mandates and/or program implementation and managing projects involving multiple divisions/bureaus/units.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

- One year of professional experience attending meetings and writing formal summaries on complex topics.

- One year of professional administrative experience.
