JOB DESCRIPTION:
This is a highly responsible business analyst position in the Division of Information Technology (IT), Information Systems Development Methodology (ISDM) Unit.
This position is responsible for assisting with the development, maintenance, and support of custom IT applications to support the Agency's strategic plan by implementing legislative requirements, process improvements, and system enhancements as needed.
YOUR SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creating process maps, writing business requirements, design specifications, test scripts, and training materials.
Conducting Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, interviews, and site visits to gather detailed requirements from subject matter experts.
Documenting analysis results, business process descriptions, and use cases.
Completing meeting agendas, meeting summaries including action items, and sending them to the project team in a timely fashion.
Working with project managers, end users, and developers on application screen designs, logic, and functionality.
Keeping project documentation on ISDM SharePoint pages accurate and up to date.
Submitting Weekly Project Status Reports on each Monday for the previous week for assigned projects.
Required project documentation includes the Risk & Complexity Assessment, Project Charter, Project Plan, Project Schedule, Project Timeline (Visio), Project Requirements, IT Component Requirements, Database Design, Screen Design, Report Design, Security Plan, Testing Plan, Training Plan, Deployment Plan, Troubleshooting Guide, and the Project Closure Report.
Testing applications as needed.
Keeping Azure DevOps work items up to date including, but not limited to, sprint goals, epics, features, tasks, bugs, sprints, and capacity planning.
Providing administrative support to the AHCA Project Governance (APG) as needed.
Identifying technical and business problems and developing the best solutions.
Actively participating in team discussions.
This position has been identified as mission-essential.
The incumbent in this position may be required to work during the weekend or on holidays.
In addition, mission essential personnel will be required to work during disasters, to include but not limited to, work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.
Emergency work may involve the incumbent working in another county or staffing location to assist other State Agencies with emergency work.
Emergency duties may include, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position:
* Knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of business analysis for software development and maintenance projects, along with methods of data collection and analysis.
* Skilled with software development tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira, diagramming tools such as Microsoft Visio, and general software such as Microsoft Office 365 and SharePoint.
* Skilled in effectively communicating with technical and non-technical staff and all levels of management, both orally and in writing.
* Ability to determine work priorities, assign work, and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
* Ability to compile, organize, and analyze data; ability to gather and document business requirements for software applications; ability to create process maps and workflow diagrams.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
* Ability to work independently and in teams.
* Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and coordinate multiple projects and work assignments to meet deadlines and complete goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
At least one (1) year of professional experience with business analysis or project management.
