This position is within the Florida Center for Health Information and Transparency, Office of Data Collection. This position is responsible for the collection and certification of quarterly Patient Discharge Data from all licensed Hospitals and Ambulatory Surgical Centers in Florida. The analyst must possess excellent customer service skills to assist facilities with any errors / verifications, upload issues to ensure their assigned facilities are certified by each certification deadline.

 

Your Specific Responsibilities:

•Maintain facility information in the Florida Data Discharge Collection system (FDDC) for assigned facilities

•Complete analyst review in a timely manner.

•Review facility exception requests and determine acceptability

•Analyze facility data reports for outliers and determine acceptability

•Provide administrative and technical support for facility contacts

•Assist facility users regarding statutory reporting requirements, edit interpretation and other relevant issues.

•Maintain working knowledge of ICD, CPT, DRG medical codes and applicable software.

•Perform other duties as required

 

 Minimum Qualifications:

•At least one year of professional experience in health care administration.

•At least one year of professional experience working with administrative rules and statutes.

 

 Preferred Qualifications:

•Experience with interpreting statutes, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

•Experience with effective communication and technical writing

•Knowledge of ICD coding

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

•Strong communication and writing skills

•Ability to work individually and as part of a team

•Proficient computer and document management skills
