Step Into a High‑Impact Role That Keeps Florida’s Health Care System Running Strong.
Are you someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment where your attention to detail and problem‑solving skills make a real difference?
The Facilities Intake Unit within AHCA’s Office of the General Counsel is looking for a talented professional to join our team — and this role is central to ensuring timely, accurate, and accountable oversight of health care facilities across Florida.
This is a highly responsible administrative and professional position where no two days are the same.
You’ll work at the heart of AHCA’s regulatory processes, helping manage complex legal and operational workflows that directly support the agency’s mission to protect the health and safety of Floridians.
What Makes This Role Exciting
• You’ll take ownership of critical case activity — routing, tracking, updating, and closing cases in the Versa/FRAES system.
• You’ll become a trusted expert as you handle Notices of Intent, Requests for Sanctions, PMATF actions, Declaratory Statements, Rule Variances, Certificate of Need filings, Maximus cases, HCRA cases, and emergency actions such as moratoriums and emergency suspension orders.
• You will collaborate closely with attorneys, survey managers, and program staff, becoming a key link between legal processes and operational decision‑making.
• You’ll provide valuable guidance to new staff and offer professional, accurate assistance to the public and internal teams — helping ensure AHCA’s policies and procedures are consistently represented.
• You’ll manage fine payments, track deposits, close cases, and clear license alerts while keeping digital records up‑to‑date in Laserfiche.
• You’ll maintain an efficient and well‑organized intake workflow, preparing documents for attorney assignments and transforming program actions into formal legal cases.
• You’ll use IMPROMPTU to generate case‑load and management reports and collaborate with IT to create or update codes and reporting tools.
This position is perfect for someone who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys mastering complex systems, and wants a front‑row seat to Florida’s health care regulatory process.
You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, safety, and accountability of care delivered across the state.
If you enjoy meaningful work where your expertise matters — this is your opportunity to shine.
