This is an entry level position within the Division of Information Technology for the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration. 

The preferred candidate may have limited experience but possess personal initiative and a strong desire to learn and establish a promising and satisfying career in the field of Information Technology.

 

The position is a part of the Cherwell/SharePoint/Web team within the Bureau of Customer Service and Support.

The responsibilities of this position do NOT include application development programming, database analysis, or SQL queries.

 

The selected candidate will have the opportunity to grow their technical skills exponentially while working with multiple technologies as part of a highly responsive customer service driven team. 

This position will work to maintain, develop, and support the Agency’s Internet, Intranet, and Microsoft SharePoint environments.

The selected candidate should be able to communicate clearly and effectively to provide assistance and support in a decentralized web development environment.

 

This position will utilize analytical thinking to perform their duties and responsibilities.

The selected candidate will be mentored and instructed to employ best practices in daily activities and tasks.

Strong knowledge of active computer operation, combined with knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, and excellent communication skills are necessary for performance of daily job duties.

The selected candidate will acquire new skills and technical knowledge with training and hands-on learning. 

The position you are applying for will be located on-site in Tallahassee, Florida, and the duties for this position can only be performed in the Agency for Health Care Administration offices.

The selected candidate must be physically present to perform the job duties at AHCA headquarters, located in Tallahassee, Florida.

The Agency for Health Care Administration does not offer remote or telework options. Attendance is a core requirement of this position.

Basic knowledge of the following: (1) web content management systems, (2) static websites and HTML, (3) Microsoft SharePoint

Basic knowledge of web editing software - HTML editors

Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS

Prior experience in Microsoft Office software

Ability to write technical documentation

Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

One year of work experience in a technical or technical support field.
