This position will have a significant role in assisting with the Agency Training on Human Resource functions and employee development trainings. This position will serve as the Training Administrator by researching, developing, mastering, and facilitating statewide training for the agency. This position spends the majority of time communicating with, motivating, training agency employees, evaluating and developing the agency’s training modules. These modules include New Employee Orientation, AHCA Supervisory training program, Customer Service training, Plain Language training, Keep Informed Training (KIT), Human Resources training, and other employee enhancement training opportunities. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating the scheduling of statewide training where applicable.

 

Ensure supervisors have access to required training programs for leadership and development purposes. Responsible for the preparation of the Agency Training Plan as specified in 60L- 14, F.A.C.  Ensures that Agency employees complete the required training and provide assistance and resources, as required. Assess, recommend and develop training policies and procedures as needed, in consultation with the Bureau Chief.

 

This position works closely with other Agency Bureaus to create current and future training topics in the appropriate learning environment.

 

Oversees the agency’s Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to maintain and manage the current LMS by uploading and creating online course content, producing reports for learner status, troubleshooting LMS issues, and maintaining user profiles in the LMS.

 

Plan, coordinate and train supervisors and personnel liaisons on Human Resource functions (Payroll, Leave & Attendance, Labor Relations, Performance Management, etc.).

 

Coordinates the preparation and distribution of the Agency training calendar, which should be completed every six months. Maintains the electronic training calendar and ensures that all classes are accurately reflected. Publishes SharePoint Training Calendar and posts bulletins to promote registration for upcoming training events. Ensures that e-mail reminders are sent to registered participants in advance of the classes. Coordinates the class registration process. Maintains training records for Agency employees. Maintains a calendar for the Human Resources training room and coordinates requests by other agency personnel use of the room.

 

Plans and coordinates the agency’s activities and initiatives related to employee recognition program, Take Your Child to Work Day, job fair/recruitment activities. This includes the research, development and delivery of activities, classes, courses and workshops needed to provide perform agency activities.

 

Helps plan and participate in job fair/recruitment activities throughout the state to help promote the Agency for Health Care Administration

 

This position is required to travel to other locations to perform training and other various activities. This may require the incumbent to work outside of normal business hours.

 

A good attendance record is essential for any individual in this position as the work involved occurs daily and is time-critical.  The individual in this position is expected to report to work daily and on time.  This position is required to travel throughout the State of Florida.
