This position has a working title of Deputy Communications Director for the Agency for Health Care Administration. This is independent work planning and managing or coordinating the major operations of an agency. Duties and responsibilities include managing the daily operations and planning the use of resources.

 

This is advanced professional work directing employees.

 

Leads special projects assigned by leadership such as organizing internal and external events and speaking engagements.

 

Participates in the creative process and assists with the design and execution of proactive public awareness campaigns.

 

Lead for the Agency in related to any and all messaging of the Agency.

 

Actively work with all program areas to ensure the Agency is effectively messaging policy initiatives and all other operational issues which require statewide messaging.

 

Responsible for drafting all talking points and presentations for the Secretary, Chief of Staff, and Deputy Secretary's.

 

Manage external contracts with marketing and advertising vendors.

 

Oversee brand and messaging consistency for the Agency, including maintaining a style and branding guide.

 

Develop and promote internal employee recognition program(s).

 

Serves as Communications Directors delegate at meetings and or events where the Director cannot attend.

 

Performs other duties as assigned.
