Where You Will Work:

This position is in the Bureau of Central Services within the Division of Health Quality Assurance.

The Bureau provides services and support to the facility licensure function of the Agency and is comprised of four units: the Background Screening Unit, the Financial Analysis Unit, the Central Intake Unit, and the Systems, Training, and Support Unit.

These units are responsible for the receipt and distribution of all health care facility applications and processing of associated fees; the background screening of facility owners, administrators, personnel, and Medicaid providers, and other personnel working with Florida’s vulnerable population; the financial analysis and financial data collection of health care facilities; and the systems management, data support and training within the Division.

 

The Work You'll Do:

The incumbent in this position provides administrative support to the Central Intake Section. 

The incumbent functions as a member of a cooperative team that is responsible for providing centralized services of mail, fee processing, scanning, and quality assurance of images and data. 

 

Specific responsibilities and duties are as follows:

Intake of licensure applications to include updating licensure record information, establishing the type of licensure transaction and designating all fees to appropriate data allocation.

 

Identify applications/checks that must be returned for further processing or redistributed to another unit within the Agency. 

Prepare notification of reasons for check or application return.

 

Reconcile fees received; follow record storage and processing as set forth in the Division's Check and Payment Processing Procedures. 

Ensures checks are delivered timely and with appropriate documentation to the cash batch creator for the cash batch to be created.

 

Serves as backup for creating cash batches following record storage and processing as set forth in the Division’s Check and Payment Processing Procedures.

Ensures cash batches are scanned into Laserfiche, reviewed for correctness and completeness prior to delivery with appropriate documentation to Finance and Accounting.

 

Assists with processing incoming and outgoing mail which includes licensure applications, certification packets, fingerprint cards, and other general correspondence from providers.

Stamps date received and distributes according to the Unit mail procedures.

 

This position will be hired at the minimum salary of $1,298.46 biweekly and is non-negotiable.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

One (1) year of professional or nonprofessional experience in customer service, data entry, or administrative work is required.

 

Preference will be given to applicants with experience working in VERSA and Laserfiche software.
