The Agency for Health Care Administration is Florida's chief health policy and planning entity. The Agency is responsible for administering the Florida Medicaid program, the licensure and regulation of nearly 50,000 health care facilities, and empowering consumers through health care transparency initiatives.

This position is responsible for responsible for overseeing the statewide fiscal operations for the Agency for Health Care Administration. 

Responsible for the direction and administration of the following units: Revenue Management and Grant Reporting, Medicaid Accounts Receivables, Accounting Policy and Systems Disbursements.

 

Oversee the administration of federal grant funds and provides for the recording, reporting and reconciliation of grant expenditures within federal and state timeframes. 

Oversees and manages the administration and management of the Agency revenue activities including receipts, depositing, recording and reconciliation of fees, assessments, and grant revenues.

Responsible for managing the continuous and timely auditing/vouchering vendor invoices, employee/non-employee reimbursement requests and journal transfers to the other Agencies, in accordance with State and Federal regulations.

Responsible for managing the recording, monitoring and reconciliation of all accounting transactions in the Florida Accounting Information Resource System (FLAIR).

Oversee the preparation of the annual financial statements and supporting forms.

Participates in management evaluations, federal and state audits and developing corrective action plans.

Oversees special accounting and budgeting projects.

Oversees the preparation of complex financial reports for internal and external customers.

 

Supervise and spend time communicating with, motivating, training evaluating employees, planning and directing employees’ work.

Has the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action.

 

Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
