This is independent work assisting management in the coordination of administrative tasks and/or assignments which are complex in nature and broad in objective with integration of diverse functions. The incumbent in this position shall maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Human Resources Personnel policies.

 

The incumbent in this position will primarily perform the following duties: prepare correspondence and respond to telephone inquiries. Uses Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel etc.) to input and procure data in a timely and accurate manner.

 

Perform Leave audits on all employees transferring, separating, retiring, entering DROP, on LWOP and other various reasons.

Process employment verifications and unemployment forms

 

Assists with working various payroll reports to ensure all outstanding time sheets are completed and approved timely. Send out OPS time sheet reminder on bi-weekly basis and ensure OPS time sheets have been approved by the supervisor by the end of payroll period for processing.

 

Assists with Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) requests to include initial contact with employee or manager, providing initial paperwork for FMLA and requesting additional information as needed

 

A good attendance record is essential for any individual in this position as the work involved occurs daily and is time sensitive.  The individual in this position is expected to report to work daily and on time.

 

Back up front desk area by answering multiline telephone, directing visitors to appropriate personnel members.

 

Performing other duties and responsibilities as required.
