The Agency for Health Care Administration is Florida's chief health policy and planning entity.

The Agency is responsible for administering the Florida Medicaid program, the licensure and regulation of nearly 50,000 health care facilities, and empowering consumers through health care transparency initiatives.

This is a professional position that reports to the Contract Administrator in the Contract Administration Unit (CAU).

The incumbent must have working knowledge of state procurement and contracting laws, and must work independently, with minimal direction. Duties and responsibilities for this position are as follows:

 

Provides technical assistance and support to Agency customers concerning the Contract Administration Tracking System (CATS). 

Serves as the first review of procurement and contract documents, ensuring compliance with grammatical and formatting requirements.

Provides technical assistance to contract managers and management regarding procurement rules and regulations.

Ensures assigned audit requests are responded to accurately and promptly.

Assists with public record requests for the Bureau and completes all requests promptly and within the allotted time frame. 

 

Tracks and reports the status of contracts and agreements to the Contract Administrator on at least a weekly basis.

Brings administrative matters to the Contract Administrator’s attention as appropriate.

Develops and maintains reports for management as requested.

 

Conducts ongoing quality assurance reviews of contracts and agreements that have processed through CATS and FACTS, and identifies, addresses, and corrects issues.

Assists in the assignment of new contracts/amendments received by the Procurement Office, ensuring all required documentation and forms are completed.

 

Conducts annual contract file reviews, documents identified issues and deficiencies, and works with the contract manager to address and correct the issues identified.

 

Performs special projects and/or other related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

One (1) year of professional work experience reviewing documents in an electronic format.

One (1) year of professional work experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint).
