The Work You Will Do:
This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, Other Personal Services (OPS) position. You will be providing the following:
- Ongoing assessment of Commerce’s current SharePoint Online environment and make recommendations for improvement and administration according to best practices;
- Developing and managing a standard layout for existing and new Commerce SharePoint sites to maintain uniformity, including SharePoint branding according to Microsoft best practices;
- Creating and maintaining SharePoint governance and usage policy, including:
- SharePoint Usage and Features,
- User Role Definitions,
- Content Management Procedures,
- Custom components creation (i.e. custom workflows, custom surveys, and custom pages),
- Approval Processes, and
- Problem Identification and Resolution;
- Planning for Commerce’s future capacity and growth requirements within SharePoint, including migration considerations to SharePoint Online;
- Collaborating with Commerce program areas for SharePoint needs and site development;
- Creating standards and processes for implementing new SharePoint sites;
- Administering and managing the SharePoint environment;
- Building reporting dashboards using JavaScript frameworks;
- Building provider hosted apps and SharePoint hosted apps using Power Apps;
- Creating and maintaining environment documentation, environment mapping, and best practices guidelines; and
- Transferring knowledge to the appropriate Commerce staff to ensure the continued management of SharePoint within Commerce.

You must live in the Tallahassee Area. This position requires both remote and onsite work.

Pay:
- $45 per hour
Your Specific Responsibilities:
- Managing the SharePoint platform, integrating applications, and creating libraries.
- Adding users, controlling access to document libraries, and setting permissions.
- Performing maintenance of the SharePoint platform, servers, and intranet.
- Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions.
- Providing SharePoint support and end-user training.
- Performing data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.
- Ensuring sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data.
- Reviewing usage and activity reports and making adjustments to ensure optimized user-experiences.
- Maintaining network infrastructure, as well as managing encryption, security zones, and firewalls.
- Keeping up to date with SharePoint developments and performing version updates and upgrades.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Qualifications:
As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other related field, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification, or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of IT work experience in system analysis, development and engineering in an online environment
- 5+ years of IT work experience with server infrastructure and SharePoint Online support
