Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position performs advanced level work independently under the limited supervision of the Senior Management Analyst II-SES providing management of projects for the Florida Workforce Integration Network Systems (FL WINS) Program within the Division of Workforce Services. This position is responsible for the planning, execution, delivery, and transition of multiple projects of high complexity. This position will be required to liaise, analyze, plan, and evaluate the business needs of the stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing customer expectations, proactively closing expectation gaps, and ensuring projects are executed under strategic guidelines and standard governance practices.
Duties include coordinating efforts across multiple agency and stakeholder FL WINS teams, managing project issues and risks, closely monitoring, and controlling projects.
- Works with FL WINS stakeholders and other staff to coordinate the activities involved in the management of projects.
- Support long-range strategies and administers policies and procedures to achieve operational objectives.
- Creates, manages, and ensures adherence to project management processes, policies, and procedures, including those identified in the enterprise project management governance process.
- Works with staff and leadership to identify business technology program requirements and scope.
- Guides efforts to procure services and systems, such as coordinating deliverables and negotiating vendor contracts.
- Attend regular team meetings to assess risk, identify conflicts, barriers, and issues, and facilitate the development of resolutions and action plans.
- Coordinates reports of the team’s progress to upper management through regular status updates, maintaining all required documentation for visibility into team efforts.
- Works to ensure the use of project management tools and programs to effectively track, monitor, manage projects.
- Assists and participates in internal and external audits/evaluations of project management procedures and activities.
- Manages multiple tasks, activities, and/or projects to ensure they are effectively tracked.
- Follows FL WINS Program, documentation standards, and remains on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
- Assists with budget reviews, Legislative Budget Request (LBR) analysis and legislative discovery for initiatives.
- Assists with reviewing and analyzing newly enacted state legislation and proposed legislation to prepare impact assessments.
- Creates, updates, and reviews documentation based on the project management methodology used.
- Assists with quality assurance of GOC II level team member’s work products.
- Assists with recruitment and retention activities to develop staff and team, as needed.
- Assists with identifying and monitoring training needs for unit.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Preferred:
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) or other equivalent industry standard certification
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Professional or non-professional experience can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the preferred college education.
Pay:
$70,000 - $75,000 annually.
