Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for providing all customers timely and appropriate services in an environment that is customer-focused, data-driven, process-oriented and team-centered. Performs technical work involving the design, coding, testing, and deployment of application development enhancements, maintenance, modifications, and/or fixes. Responsible for presenting leadership skills that influence, inspire and help team members to build skill levels and attain strategic goals
- Work with the business unit to gather and document business requirements.
- Collaborate in the development of schedules and estimates of work assignments and meet agreed upon timelines; renegotiating due dates as necessary.
- Analyze business requirements and design application solutions to be used to implement the user's needs; along with this is the translation of these designs into technical specifications.
- Develop efficient and accurate code to incorporate modifications and enhancements to applications adhering to unit standards.
- Conduct unit testing to ensure accuracy of coding and conformity to requirements and specifications.
- Conduct regular performance monitoring, tuning and load testing of the applications to ensure optimum system performance.
- Develop test scripts that can be used during quality assurance and user acceptance testing.
- Assist others in the application development team with the deployment of modifications and enhancements to the applications.
- Adhere to unit policies and procedures including maintaining current status of work assignments.
- Maintain good working relationships with business units and technical team.
- Coordinates and collaborates System and User Acceptance testing.
- Monitors results of System and User testing and evaluates the reasons for quality issues and rework, and formulate recommendations to mitigate.
- Work collaboratively with Department’s Information Security Manager to identify and mitigate security risks and issues.
- Serve as Team lead for cloud computing technology on behalf of the enterprise development team.
- Represents IT on agency teams as assigned by supervisor.
- Perform other job duties and responsibilities as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Ability to mentor other developers on practices to improve the quality of their software
- Ability to recommend best analysis based on his/her expertise

- Ability to create and maintain application documentation that conforms to established documentation standards
- Ability to produce accurate estimates of the work required to accomplish assigned tasks
- Knowledge and experience with software development practices
- Knowledge and experience with relational databases
- Knowledgeable in Application Development Methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, and Iterative.
- Knowledge of the following:
- Azure Cloud Computing Services
- C# .NET Programming
- Structured Query Language (SQL) Server
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Microsoft Visual Studio
- Web services (Web Services Description Language (WSDL), Simple Object Access protocol (SOAP), or Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
Qualifications:
As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.
Minimum:
- 5+ years of experience with software development practices
- 3+ years of experience with relational databases
- Must be available for on-call and overtime as required.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or related technical field or equivalent experience.
- Salesforce, ASP/C# .Net, SQL relational databases, TFS, Visual Studio, MVC, Bootstrap, SharePoint.
- Experience on projects and/or teams using Agile, or Scrum, creating flowcharts using Microsoft Visio or similar tool; developing for hybrid cloud (e.g. Azure, Salesforce).
- Demonstration of willingness and ability to learn new technologies.

$50,000 - $69,000
