Your Specific Responsibilities:

The incumbent of this position will conduct financial monitoring of all assigned recipients, subrecipients and pass-through entities.  The incumbent will also assist the Bureau Chief and Chief Financial Officer in reviewing current bureau policies and updating those that may be outdated, redundant or need streamlining or improvement.  The incumbent will also be responsible for recommending any new bureau policies as required.  The position is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and successful completion of key projects within the Bureau of Financial Monitoring and Accountability. 

 

Financial Monitoring – Duties include in-depth financial monitoring of all assigned recipient and subrecipient contracts and ensuring compliance with the contract, federal regulations, and state laws/rules. Also, duties include monitoring of all assigned recipients, subrecipients, and pass-through entities implementation of the federal indirect rates and cost allocation plans, as applicable. These tasks include assisting management with the development, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures; templates such as risk assessments, workpapers, internal control questionnaires, and other guidance as needed for in-depth financial monitoring for recipients and subrecipients. Daily tasks include: performing in-depth monitoring of and preparation of periodic progress reports and monitoring reports as requested or needed by management.

 

Project Management – Direct oversight of internal projects as designated by the Bureau Chief or Chief Financial Officer.  Assist the Bureau Chief in completing assigned projects.  Evaluate project outcomes against initial goals, identifying areas of improvement for future projects.  Present insights, trends and recommendations to the Bureau Chief to drive informed decision-making.  Track bureau deadlines to ensure compliance.

 

Process Improvement – Update and document policies and procedures to alleviate pain points, streamline operations and ensure consistency and compliance.  Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and increased efficiency.  Identify and present strategies to management to improve operational efficiency and enhance overall performance.

 

Other Responsibilities – As needed, provide assistance to Chief of Financial Monitoring and Accountability and Chief Financial Officer, including developing reports and analysis. Perform other duties as assigned.
