MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
 

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, or business administration; or
 

One (1) year of professional or nonprofessional accounting experience.
 

Requires possession of a valid Class E driver license.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

JOB DUTIES:
 

Responsible for mailing warrants picked up from the Department of Financial Services, auditing invoices by matching to warrants for correct payment amount, verifying the name and address, amount of the warrant, noting full invoice numbers and account numbers where needed and delivering warrants timely to the mailroom daily. This position has vendor warrant processing responsibilities as outlined in Section 215.422, Florida Statutes.
 

Responsible for printing Daily Warrant Processing Report, invoices and scanning warrants through the Administrative Image Management System (AIMS) Auxiliary Software. 
 

Responsible for adding vendors to statewide vendor for Purchase-Card (P-Card) transactions, one-time payments and requesting updates to vendor file for Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) vendors.
 

Serves as backup to Accountant II for processing credit card refunds through the e-Payment software system.
 

Serves as backup to Accountant II for matching Paid Journal Transfers, which includes matching Chief Financial Officer’s posted journal transfers to pending vouchers. Verifies the amount of the Journal Transfer and the correct state agency against invoicing.
 

Responsible for reconciling warrants received daily, maintaining Excel spreadsheet, logging number of warrants received, noting special handling and any discrepancies.   
 

Performs other related duties as required or assigned.
