This positing will be used to fill multiple vacancies in the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Fiscal Section.
Job Description
This is a temporary OPS Accountant position working in the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Fiscal Section within the Bureau of the Comptroller at the Department of Education. This position is responsible for processing invoice payments for the vendor payments for the vendor payment auditors. This includes clocking and scanning invoices to be processed through MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP), reviewing invoices for proper documentation and correct direct order number. This position will process invoices for telephones and utilities through the Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) system. The incumbent will also research past due statements and answer telephone inquiries from customers.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures.
Ability to prepare financial statements and reports.
Ability to review fiscal data for accuracy and completeness.
Ability to analyze and interpret accounting data.
Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
