In doing so, the FPSC exercises regulatory authority over utilities in one or more of three key areas: rate base/economic regulation; competitive market oversight; and monitoring of safety, reliability, and service.

 

Description of Job Duties:

The Accountant I will work in the Fiscal Services Section of the Division of Administrative & IT Services. This position will process journal transfers, disbursement invoices for payment, prepare bank deposits, and maintain property records. This position is also responsible for the recording of Regulatory Assessment Fees into the agency’s database and the processing of Noncash Fringe Benefits into FLAIR. This position will perform other duties as assigned by the Fiscal Services Supervisor or management.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Must have at least 1 year of professional accounting experience.
