Minimum Starting Salary: $1,388.00 Bi-Weekly. (In accordance with current spending restrictions, an internal promotion will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5% of the employee’s current rate, whichever is higher.) 

                             

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Ensures compliance with the Prompt Payment Statute (215.422), F.S. are followed according to applicable statutes and departmental policies, and the Department of Financial Services (DFS) guidelines. Responsible for auditing, reviewing, and processing all Journal Transfers disbursements for the agency. Ensuring that Journal Transfers have not already been paid by researching FLAIR and FLAIR@DJJ systems before processing.  Responsible for outstanding warrants that are over 3 months old on a monthly basis. Responsible for all postage requests. Verify vendor number is correct. Research payment to ensure not already processed. Responsible for processing weekly/monthly interest penalty payment to vendors. Responsible for daily verifying summary of FLAIR entries and assembling vouchers with supporting documentation in Axiom Pro within 2 working days.

 

Responsible for processing P-Card charges in Works. Monitor the charge queue daily and process charges within three (3) business days of the charge appearing in queue to ensure the 10-calendar day processing requirement is met. Verify that supporting documentation are attached and correct. Review charges for statutory authority and contact Accountholder if purchases are not allowable. Flagged charges that are missing information. Responsible for uploading P-Card supporting documentation to voucher schedules in Axiom Pro.

 

Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of:

     Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR)

     Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other state and/or federal laws

     Microsoft Office Products

     Creating and working with Excel Worksheets

Ability to:

    To provide Excellent Customer Service

    Determine work priorities, assign work, and ensure proper completion of work assignments

    Communicate effectively

    Experience auditing and processing payments.

 

Preference will be given to candidates with six months experience

Knowledge of (STMS) Statewide Travel Management System

P-Card Works

Knowledge of FLAIR.

Knowledge of Florida PALM.

Working in a position with regulatory responsibilities.

Create ad hoc reports.

Processing payments.

Auditing invoices.
