MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, or business administration; or

Four (4) years of professional or nonprofessional accounting experience.

JOB DUTIES:

Position is responsible for auditing and preparing vouchers for payment of all department travel vouchers and travel advance vouchers in the Administrative Imaging Management System (AIMS) Travel System. This process involves checking for signatures, appropriate accounting codes, ensuring proper documentation required by the Chief Financial Officer is attached and vouchers are ready to be entered into the Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) System. This position ensures that travel expenses are paid in accordance with Section 112.061, F.S.

Position reviews and ensures that travel advances are logged on the Excel spreadsheet, that the revenue section receives the appropriate documentation to set up the account receivables, the advances are monitored to ensure advances are settled timely and accounts are reconciled monthly between outstanding account receivables and Excel spreadsheet. 

Position processes invoices for commercial accounts (EAN Services LLC, Travel Leaders and Travel Centre). Position has vendor invoice/warrant processing responsibility in accordance with Section 215.422, F.S.

Position prepares journal transactions and coding sheets to input into FLAIR and reviews accounting entries to make corrections resulting from input errors and funding changes.

Performs related work as required and requested.
