Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serves as a Team Lead to provide direction, guidance, and knowledge on accounting procedures and practices ensuring compliance with laws, policies, and procedures such as revenue and expenditure activities. Responsibilities also include coaching and motivating and developing team members; fostering open collaboration and communication; understanding and exercising good judgment and scope of limited decision-making authority and when to elevate issues to the Operations Manager for remediation.
- Responsible for reviewing Vouchers Schedules to ensure accuracy and completion of financial record and monitoring vouchers are processed in a timely manner on a daily basis.
- Responsible for auditing invoices and processing payments including, but not limited to: state insurance, unemployment compensation, revenue service charge, retirement variances, and casualty & property insurance.
- Reviews voucher detail summary daily for all disbursements/deposits keyed as needed.
- Responds to Department of Financial Services’ pre-and-post Audit requests and prompt payment compliance requirements in a timely manner.
- Prints, reviews and conducts any required analysis on daily, monthly, quarterly or yearly reports and resolves any issues identified. Updates the Operations Manager C, Budget Director and Executive Director as needed. Maintains financial records in accordance with laws, policies, and procedures.
- Serves as DOAH’s Business and Training Liaison for PALM implementation.
- Serves as backup for the MFMP Exceptions Handler and Invoice Manager roles and as the P-Card Administrator as needed.
- Serves as the backup for reconciling DOAH’s accounts and closing accounting months in FLAIR on a monthly basis.
- Assists with the preparing the financial statements and reports.
- Completion of the Exposure Base Inquiry and Property Values Collection Surveys.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures.

- Ability to prepare financial statements and reports.

Required Qualifications:
- Must possess a high school diploma or the equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of three (3) years professional experience analyzing and/or auditing financial data with the State of Florida and be verifiable within the incumbent’s application.
- Experience working in FLAIR.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the Works application.
- Experience working in the MFMP application.
- Experience working in the STMS application.
- Experience reconciling state government funds.
- Knowledge of the statutory requirements for state travel.
