SPECIAL NOTES:
A high School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Additional requirements:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- One (1) year of administrative or office clerical work experience.
Preferences:
- Experience working with imaged documents in an office setting.
- Experience in ordering, receiving and maintaining office supplies for a business or office.
- Experience in providing support services for an office, including answering and routing calls on a multi-line telephone system.
This position is located in Tallahassee, Florida and is required to work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
This position will be filled at $35,000.04.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of administrative principles and practices. Knowledge of office procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of the methods of data collection.
- Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication and use of proper grammar.
- Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data relating to administrative functions such as personnel, purchasing or compiling reports.
- Ability to prepare correspondence and administrative reports.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance, such as changing toner cartridges, to commonly used office equipment.
- Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to accurately perform basic arithmetic.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This position provides clerical and administrative support to the Bureau of State Employee Workers’ Compensation Claims and reports directly to the Bureau Chief.
