The Prosecution Services Unit (PSU) is responsible for providing legal services in the regulation of all health care boards and councils. PSU takes administrative action against healthcare practitioners for violations of the licensee’s practice act.  This position is directly supervised by the Operations & Management Consultant I within the Prosecution Services Unit of the Office of the General Counsel.
 
Your Specific Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for entering attorney billable hours into the time accounting system (Time Track) and LEIDS; ensures that collection of billable hours is timely and that current and complete information is entered by contacting attorneys or the administrative staff to obtain necessary information.  Monitors DAR zzzz Feedback mailbox for receipt of DAR’s; upon receipt of new mail, prints attachment and moves message to a designated zzzz feedback mailbox folder.
  • Receives, sorts, date-stamps and distributes incoming mail to mailboxes for pick-up each day or routes to designated PSU employee(s) in other buildings; reviews outgoing certified mail for correct information; updates and maintains attorney mailboxes assuring accurate information at all times.  
  • Performs as the receptionist for the Prosecution Services Unit; answers and directs telephone inquiries received within the unit, from the general public, complainants, subjects and/or subjects counsel concerning disciplinary cases.
  • Provides monthly production reports:  Number of DARs; and other reports as requested by supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.
