Duties and Responsibilities
This position reports directly to the Chief of the Bureau of Dealer Services providing assistance and support to the Chief and the program areas in the bureau. The position is responsible for developing objectives for information and publications, compiling, and analyzing data and coordinating responses to information requests. The position provides research for bureau informational development activities and coordinates member access for systems including departmental and outside entities. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating internal and external information/communication for projects. The position is responsible for coordinating travel arrangements for the chief and program managers/areas as necessary. This position is responsible for drafting, editing, proofreading, and preparing all types of written communications, including emails, publications, memorandums, reports, and spreadsheets.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Skills in drafting business correspondence.
- Skills in establishing and maintaining office files.
- Skills in research, reviewing and analyzing data.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain tracking systems.
- Knowledge of purchasing procedures and MyFloridaMarketplace.
- Skills in providing customer service and operating a multi-line telephone system.
- Skills in organizing data into a spreadsheet, compiling and disseminating reports.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Skill in interpreting policies and procedures.

Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
- Customer service experience in an office setting.
- Using Microsoft Excel, including formatting and filtering.
- Composing professional correspondence, including proofreading and/or editing.
General Information
- The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview.
- Applicants being considered for employment will be required to submit to a fingerprint-based background investigation, which will include a check of the criminal history records of the FBI. - FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
