The Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR) is the agency charged with licensing and regulating State of Florida businesses and professionals, such as cosmetologists, veterinarians, condominiums, hotels, and restaurants. The Work You Will Do:

 

This position is located within the Bureau of Compliance of the Division of Condominiums, Timeshares and Mobile Homes. This position performs quality assurance reviews for the bureau to ensure proper procedures are being followed.

 

Your Specific Responsibilities:

The incumbent in this position is responsible for:

 

 •   Collects and analyzes various data sources, including but not limited to Versa, OnBase, and any other applicable program(s) to identify opportunities for improvement, monitor performance, interpret data trends and patterns as they relate to the Division. 
•    Administer the Division’s Qlik reports, working with the Director, direct supervisor, Division of Technology, and Chief of Research and Data Integrity to ensure accuracy of reporting and the creation of new reports as required.
•    Performs random reviews of Versa Regulation and OnBase to ensure filings and cases are appropriately coded and to identify inconsistencies. 
•    Administer the Annual Report query at a minimum monthly, and any other recurring report as assigned by the Director or direct supervisor in a timely and accurate manner.  It is also the responsibility of this position to monitor the quality and accuracy of the data and collaborate with the appropriate party to ensure resolution.   
•    Responds to data requests assigned by the Director or direct supervisor.  Data requests are to be completed by the due dates requested unless extenuating circumstances dictate otherwise.  They are to address the purpose of the request and be formatted as requested or in a manner conducive to providing the purpose of the request. 
•    Requires consistent, timely, and precise updates and responses in either written or telephonic communication with direct supervisor, or Director, and other appropriate individual(s) pertinent to fulfill the purpose of the request or assignment.
•    Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data analytics. Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities. 
•    Provide suggestions for improvement of the application, process, or procedures as deemed necessary. 
•    Performs other related work duties as required.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.   
  • Ability to use available technology to perform duties including computer software, hardware and data systems.  
  • Operational knowledge of data analysis, data visualization, and data processing techniques.  Knowledge and ability to manage, prepare, maintain, analyze and report from information sets. 
  • Experience using the following software packages: Microsoft SQL server, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to understand complex business and organizational relationships. 
  • Skills and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. 
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment. 
  • Skilled with attention to detail and critical thinking. 
  • Skilled with strong oral and written communication.  
  • Skilled with customer service etiquette. 

 

Minimum Requirement:

  • Two years of data analytics or related IT experience.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; OR
  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of investigative or high level administrative/clerical experience;
  • High School Diploma;
