SPECIAL NOTES:
Four (4) years of experience in business administration, public administration, finance, or related field is required. A postsecondary degree in those fields may be used as an alternative for the years of experience on a year-for-year basis.
Additional requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional managerial or supervisory experience in administrative services, such as budget, finance, and/or procurement.
- Proven experience in preparing, monitoring, and managing operating budgets, expenditure reports, and financial performance measures.
- Proficient in the English language.
This position may be required to occasionally perform duties other than those listed on the position description.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.
The salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 annually.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of principles and practices of public administration, management, and supervision.
- Knowledge of Florida Statutes, Florida Administrative Code, and rules governing state agencies in procurement, contracting, budgeting and personnel management.
- Skilled at using state administrative systems such as FLAIR, MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP), and People First.
- Skill in analyzing and interpreting financial, personnel, and operational data.
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work across multiple administrative functions, ensuring alignment with agency objectives and timelines.
- Ability to prepare detailed reports and make sound, data-driven recommendations.
- Ability to manage and supervise staff effectively, including performance planning and evaluation.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to building and maintaining strong working relationships with agency leadership, colleagues, and external stakeholders, emphasizing clear communication and mutual respect.
- Ability to prioritizing tasks, managing deadlines, and ensuring compliance with all relevant state and agency requirements.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This is managerial work overseeing and coordinating a broad range of administrative services within a state agency, division, or bureau. The incumbent is responsible for planning, directing, and managing administrative operations including budget, procurement, human resources, contracts, and general support services. Work is performed under the administrative direction of a senior manager or division director with wide latitude for independent judgment.
