Starting salary is $66,950.04.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.

Minimum Qualifications for this position include the following REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and either Westlaw or Lexis/Nexis legal research tools.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
The Litigation & Special Projects section represents the CFO and the Department in civil and administrative litigation and provides legal counsel to the Divisions of Risk Management and Consumer Services, Florida’s Insurance Consumer Advocate, and the Office of the Inspector General. This section also handles personnel litigation, including oversight of outside counsel, and special projects. Attorneys in this section are involved in challenging and often high-profile matters which includes representation in state and federal trial and appellate courts, formal and informal administrative hearings, and other tribunals. This section is responsible for all Department final orders and attorneys often provide briefings for senior leadership. Attorneys in the Litigation & Special Projects section enjoy a high caliber, dynamic law practice without billable hours, which allows for an excellent work/life balance.
