JOB SUMMARY:

This is an Application Developer (Systems Programmer III) position with the Department of Revenue’s (DOR)

Information Services Program (ISP). The primary duties of this position are to:

  • Analyze software requirements and existing systems to design solutions for new applications or system
  • modifications
  • Develop new applications and enhancements/corrections to existing applications based on specifications
  • including system architecture
  • Consults and performs peer programming with other team members
  • Performs independent research and consults with enterprise architects, analysts and programmers in the design, selection, and implementation of technical solutions
  • Performs unit testing and code reviews of standards for build or modifications of DOR Software Applications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue. 
  • At least six (6) years of experience in the last eight (8) years as a .NET developer/programmer.

SUBSTITUTIONS:

  • Bachelor's in computer science, computer programming, or a similar degree program can substitute for four (4) years of the required experience.

PREFERENCES:

  • Experience in developing using C#, MVC, and Bootstrap.
  • Experience in development with Microsoft SQL databases.
  • Experience using Visual Studio and Microsoft SQL Management Studio (SSMS).
  • Experience using GitHub Enterprise for version control.
  • Experience in development of GitHub Actions.
  • Experience in integrating .NET applications with EntraID.
  • Experience in integrating .NET applications with Azure Key Vault.
  • Experience in integrating .NET applications with Azure CDN.
  • Experience in building applications for cloud hosting in Azure App Services.

SPECIAL NOTES:

  • Interviews will be conducted on site for this position.
  • This position is located in Tallahassee, Florida.

SALARY: $57,666.60 - $63,736.68.
