What Will I Be Doing:

The Business Relationship Management Analyst will be responsible for acting as a business liaison with agency customers and stakeholders. Primary responsibility is to empower the agency’s customers by driving business innovation and ensuring business’ operational and strategic information technology needs are fully supported and aligned with technology that best provides return on investment to both the IT and business strategies. This position must understand the business of the agency and Information Systems Administration (ISA), and how it applies to customers and their business mission and challenges. Additionally, this position must perform business and functional requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation techniques.


Do I Qualify?

  • Are you proficient in the elicitation and gathering of business requirements, methods, techniques and tools?
  • Do you have experience leading and/or participating in Joint Applications Design (JAD) sessions with business stakeholders for eliciting and documenting (business, functional, non-functional, data and technical) requirements experience do you have, as reflected on your resume and/or applicant profile? 
  • Do you have experience related to documenting and developing of project charters and/or scope statements documents?

Preference will be given to applicants with the following:

  • Business Relationship Management (BRM) Certification by the BRM Institute;
  • Professional experience working in and/or coordination of projects;
  • Professional experience working in a formalized Project;
  • Experience using Microsoft applications/products such as Word, Excel,

              PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint;          

  • Creating requirements documents, reports and/or process flow diagrams.            

Preference will also be given to applicants who have a bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited college/university or an associate degree in a computer related field.            


Job Related Requirements:

The selected applicant must pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) criminal history background check.  

General Information

The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview.

Applicants being considered for employment will be required to submit to a fingerprint-based background investigation, which will include a check of the criminal history records of the FBI.

The process for selecting applicant(s) for this position could take up to six months.  Following the six-month period, a new application must be submitted to an open advertisement in order to be considered for that vacancy.

HSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month.  All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
