JOB SUMMARY:

This is a Business Technology Analyst III - Government Operations Consultant III position in the General Tax Administration Program, Business Technology Office, EDI/XML Development Team. The incumbent’s duties include:

  • Overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of small and large information technology related projects.
  • Conducting analytical and organizational research for the planning, development, and implementation of strategic technology initiatives.
  • Analyzing and documenting business requirements to determine system needs and provide solutions to end users.
  • Assisting external software and alternative tax form developers with development and testing.
  • Reviewing and responding to inquiries and incidents, from internal and external customers.
  • Updating and creating specifications for various systems and/or platforms.
  • Assisting with the creation, maintenance, and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Developing testing strategies and test scripts.
  • Conducting various forms of testing as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

  • One year of experience working in computer programming, systems analysis, business analysis, data analysis, technical writing, or providing systems support.

PREFERENCES:

  • Experience working in tax administration.

SALARY: The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $4,688.20 monthly/$56,258.40 annually.
