The Work You Will Do:

Distribution Agent / Support Services / Office of Administration

 

The distribution agent oversees all the Central Office Motor Pool. This position is responsible for helping customers with scheduling transportation. They will also be responsible for maintenance and repairs, as well as daily checks of the vehicles returned such as making sure they are fueled up and cleaned for the next person using the vehicle.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

Oversee the Central Office Motor Pool. Schedule and dispatch vehicles to assist customers with transportation.

 

Coordinate all vehicle Maintenance and repairs to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all fleet vehicles. This includes coordinating with Midway Maintenance Shop.

 

Organize and maintain records for all motor pool operations, to include: dispatch records, operations and maintenance records, daily/monthly vehicles when returned from out of town trips to ensure all the

above requirements.

 

Ensure that all vehicles are checked daily, locked when not in use, serviced, fueled and cleaned as required for immediate dispatch. Check vehicles when returned from out of town trips to ensure all the above requirements have been met.

 

Train other Department employees regarding proper dispatch procedures.

 

Assist with mail center functions and in the Document Control Section as needed.

 

The Successful Candidate will have the following required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Knowledge of records maintenance.  

Skills in:

  •  Skilled in using personal computers and Microsoft Office products. 
  •  Excellent customer service skills. 

Ability to:

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and implement rules and regulations. 
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others.
  • Ability to understand motor pool procedures and guidelines. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Valid class E driver’s license. High School Diploma or equivalent and two years or clerical work experience. Ability to lift 50 pounds. College education at an accredited institution can substitute for one year of the required work experience.
