PREFERENCES:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of the structure of Florida’s legislative and cabinet process.
- Ability to review, summarize and brief leadership on issues coming before the Florida cabinet. Ability to work independently; to utilize problem-solving techniques; and to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively with cabinet aides and elected officials, and other cabinet agency leadership. Ability to prioritize and manage several simultaneous projects under deadlines. Ability to manage staff.
SPECIAL NOTES:
The salary range for this position is $63,040.02 - $154,225.49 annually.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
This position requires some travel.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
This position functions as an advisor and consultant to the Chief Financial Officer, Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief Financial Officer in all areas under its jurisdiction. This position is under the general supervision of the Deputy CFO and is responsible for planning, directing, managing, coordinating and evaluating the administrative, programmatic and operational activities of the Office of Cabinet Affairs.
This position provides operational oversight to all cabinet agencies related to matters of cabinet/clemency policy and provides administrative oversight and independent review of each cabinet agency budgets, rules and administration.
