**This is not a remote position. The selected candidate must work from a DCF office.

 

**This position requires frequent (40% - 50%) statewide travel.

 

 

What YOU will do:

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative leader to serve as the Quality Review Director within the Office of Quality and Innovation (OQI). This is highly visible, advanced professional role responsible for supervising and directing employees conducting comprehensive quality reviews across multiple programmatic areas.

 

The Quality Review Director plays a key role in ensuring the integration and optimal performance of all OQI elements. The DCF Quality Assurance division within arm of OQI focuses on enhancing insight into frontline operations through rigorous case reviews, streamlining and elevating education and training, and enhancing employee wellness.

 

This is an exciting time to join OQI at a time of significant transformation. The Quality Review Director will have the opportunity to help drive quality improvement strategies, inform the development of programmatic monitoring, and provide guidance on initiatives to improve outcomes for the individuals and families the Department serves in collaboration with department programmatic areas

 

Lead enterprise-wide quality review and assurance operations. Recruit and retain a skilled workforce aligned with legislative requirements and agency priorities.

 

Collaborate with internal and external partners to execute responsibilities effectively and support coordination across OQI teams.

 

Champion organizational change by fostering adaptability, promoting positive team culture, upholding change management standards, and communicating with stakeholders.

 

Manage administrative functions including staffing, travel, training, and procurement to ensure effective resource allocation.

 

Supervise the following teams: Investigations and Ongoing Case Management Quality Review Team, CFSR Federal Review Team, Strategic Initiatives Team, and Targeted/Special Review Team.

 

Strategically guide staff in supporting state and headquarters operations. Provide leadership with data-informed insights for immediate and long-term intervention.

 

Assist in the design and implementation of systemic monitoring and continuous improvement processes for DCF operations, community partners, and contracted providers.

 

Mentor and develop staff, fostering professional growth and alignment with departmental goals.

 

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.

Eight years of experience in social services, with preference given to child welfare experience.

Five to eight years of experience in leading an organization comprised of a multi-tiered leadership structure.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including a high degree of emotional intelligence and proficiency in written and verbal communication.

Demonstrated experience in performance improvement processes.
